There are certainly genres that haven't been discovered yet. Of course I doubt new games will entirely cease to be made. The increase in modding's popularity is another indicator of this trend. I think this thinking is behind what must be a massive effort to reskin Morrowwind. And from a player's standpoint, there is something amazing about playing a game that has been developed for decades like DF or ADOM, because it is so much deeper, more detailed, and well-balanced than the average new game.

If one had a good RTS engine, for example, you could build a WWII simulator or a sci-fi setting on top of it with only a few mods plus new unit models. Really, there are not a whole lot of different game genres when you get down to it. However, I was able to find a way to get this quest completed on a high level character, and then was able to progress through the rest of Orkus' quests to finish his chain. Maybe an hour or so? Log back in and return to Hillsbrand to see if you can see the quest turn-in (Orkus).Ĭomment by superwario15If you're like me and are a stickler for earning your Loremaster on one character, this quest, and therefore Loremaster, is impossible to complete normally if you are a max-level character. Try resolving the other quests in the same zone, then return to this one.Ģ. They are not sure if this will be a server-side patch (farily quick) or a client-side patch (will take a while). Update: I did get a reply back from Blizzard, they did acknowledge that this has returned as a bug. I submitted a ticket, when I get a reply I will edit with an update. The only thing I have not yet tried, is accompanying a lower level toon through the quest. All the usual tricks don't seem to work: Resetting the UI, turning off all add-ons, log out / log in, dropping quest and re-acquiring. Comment by 178821It appears that "The Road to Purgation" quest turn-in is still bugged at this time I am attempting this on a level 90 belf priest.
